Deltran Battery Tender

With more than one bike, it becomes essential to keep my batteries maintained.

I came across Deltran’s Battery Tender several years ago after a recommendation from a good mechanic friend. I bought the charger then and have used it since.

The charger is a device known as a “trickle charger.” It is a very simply designed unit and offers a charge to the battery when it drops below its optimal state and hibernates when it does not. In the end, the battery is always maintained and ready for use.

The charger comes with both a wiring harness that can be mounted to batteries terminals semi-permanently as well as a clip type harness which allows the harness to be clipped onto the terminals. The charger can be plugged into either of these harnesses and is simply plugged into a wall outlet.

The charger has a small lighted indicator which us red when providing a charge and green when the battery is fully charged and in hibernation mode.

The Deltran Battery Tender is available everywhere and very worth the money (under $30).

I give the charger a 10/10!
